Our History

The Jolly family have owned and operated transport businesses around Australia for over 30 years, From commencing their first trucking company with one truck and a trailer, they have successfully grown businesses over their journey by developing a reputation of ensuring everything we do is done right the first time.

Our company slogan of “our pride is your guarantee” is testament to that.

Previously owning and operating Australia’s leading East West Express carrier the family business was acquired by private equity firm in a large transport group buyout in 2008.

After forming part of the newly formed group board and Senior Management team for a few years, the Jolly family decided the time was right to go back into a family owned and operated logistics business and commenced this journey with KTrans shortly thereafter.

In the early days, the company was involved in the haulage of steel pipes, mining services general freight, wharf cartage and warehousing services and transport project work. Additional companies were integrated into the KTrans portfolio, including transportation of material for the construction and residential building industries and oversize concrete panel transportation.

As a reflection of our innovative approach to our customer solutions, KTrans entered into the waste transport industry in 2016 with the first Performance Based Scheme Quad Axle A Double combinations the industry had seen in WA. Contracts with Australia’s leading waste services provider followed from transport services from waste transfer stations then flowing onto to operating and managing multiple waste transfer stations.

Contract linehaul services both east/west and north/south were added for multiple global leading logistics companies in 2016 and the company strategy of diversification was underway.

The recent commitment of a purpose built facility, ISO accreditation and upgraded Transport Management Systems ensure we are well positioned to continue this journey long into the future.
